Jim Satterwhite General This operation is seldom seen. Very nice photo, indeed. 4/26/2011 6:10:01 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Jim, I really enjoyed chasing the Copper Basin Railway, friendly people, all EMD power, & the operation runs on a schedule. The Copper Ore trains only take an hour or so to load & unload & you can catch them going back & forth between Hayden, Az. & Ray Mine in Kelvin, Az. They're loaded at Ray Mine in Kelvin & dumped at Hayden, Az. The Copper Ore trains are numbered OT-1 & have a local that runs to Magma, Az. to interchange with UP. I caught the Copper Ore trains making 3 round trips, in the summer months you can probably catch 4 round trips plus a few locals. 4/26/2011 6:19:58 PM
