Union Pacific 7345 leads the "Seagull" out of South Seattle and towards Tukwila late in the day. The AC45CCTE is leading O-SEGL, a daily train that departs UP's Argo Yard in Seattle and runs south and east to Gilliam County, Oregon. O-SEGL is not so much known for its route, but for its cargo. This train carries around 300 containers of contaminated soil, refuse, and construction debris from the Pacific Northwest to regional landfills south of Arlington, Oregon. Along with BNSF's H-EVEROO and H-INBROO (trash trains from Everett and Interbay to Roosevelt, Washington), the "Seagull" is one of the most well-known freight trains of the Pacific Northwest. |
