Album Info:
Between Poughkeepsie & Highland N.Y. resides longest cantilevered Truss Span bridge in the world. It was opened in 1889. With approaches the bridge is over 6700 feet long and over 200 fedt above the Hudson River. After a fire in the 70s the bridge was taken out of service only to reopen in 2009 as Tre Walkway over the Hudson Historic State Park. It is a nice hour's walk across the bridge and back. However for this observer, it was Metro North on the east side of the river & CSX on the western that turned a 1 hour cycle into 3 or 4.
