Originally built by Alco-Schenectady as CCC&StL 2-8-0 #6693 in January of 1907, it was rebuilt by Alco-Brooks in 1913 to NUCL 2-8-2 6974. Later it was renumbered first NYCL 6034 in 1914, and then NYC 1534 in August of 1936. The loco was sold for scrap in April of 1952. The photo is from the L.G. Isaac collection |
