DENVER CO Oct 4 1983 -- Burlington Northern SD40-2 7280 awaits work at the engine facility. END built the 7280 (s/n 786252-45) in April 1980. It retained this number when the BNSF was created. After it was retired it was acquired by First Union Rail and renumbered FURX 7280. It was then acquired by Norfolk Southern and renumbered NS 3484.
