PRR 2250, EF-22, 1965 |
| Description: |
Huntingdon. Here is an original photo that I took in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, in October of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2250, #2272, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #2250 is an EF-22 built in May of 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower, while #2272 is an EF-25 built in May of 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They're pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight train through the Huntingdon Station after crossing 4th Street. More of the train is visible in the distance as it snakes around the "S" curve just East of the Station. |
