| Description: |
Yard Power. Here is an original photo that I took in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in August of 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9257, a BS-10A switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in December of 1948 and rated at 1,000 horsepower. Visible at the left is a decommissioned PRR combination baggage-passenger car, destined to be scrapped at the Reclamation Plant in Frankstown. Visible at the right is the western end of the PRR's Samuel Rea Shop building. Photo taken near the Yard Master's Office, at the very eastern end of South Juniata Street. |

| Description: |
Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 3 September 1964. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9257, a BS-10A switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in December of 1948 and rated at 1,000 horsepower. Its crew is shifting cars in the Hollidaysburg Yards, near the intersection of Blair and South Juniata Streets. One of Hollidaysburg's historic "Chimney Rocks" is visible at the extreme left. |
