Title:
PRR 1000, "Aerotrain," 1956
Description:
Aerotrain. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, in November of 1956. The photographer is not identified. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. In this context, it's being towed to Enola by PRR engine #5581 ~ a BS-10A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in April of 1950 and rated at 1,000 horsepower.
