Description:  MNCR. Here is an original photo that I took in Larchmont, New York, on 19 July 1985. Shown here (L to R) are Metro-North Commuter Railroad engines #2031 and #2013. Both are FL-9 "electro-diesels" built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,800 horsepower each. #2031 was built as New Haven number "2052" in November of 1960 and later renumbered MNCR "2031." #2013 was built as NH number "2040" in October of 1960 and later renumbered "2013." In this context, they're pulling a six-car commuter train into the station at Larchmont. The time is 6:27 P.M.
