Description:
For a short while, there was an operation called Quaboag Transfer that used trackage rights on the Central Vermont to run a pair of piggyback trains from St Albans VT to Palmer Mass, mostly carrying flatbed trailers loaded with lumber. Initially they used a couple of ex CV RS 11s, but reliability issues caused them to go with a couple of ex Conrail GP 38s. One of the ex CR units is arriving at Palmer with the southbound train very early in the morning.
